Fresh Leadership for Upcountry
As I’ve walked across our communities and spoken with many of you, one thing has become clear: Everyone wants fresh leadership!
I would be honored for the opportunity to bring fresh leadership for Upcountry Maui. I share your vision and hopes for this ʻāina. I have experience creating positive impact. It’s time for a change. So, I respectfully ask for your vote.
In Service to Upcountry
I’ve got some ideas for the future of our community, and I’d like to hear yours. Here’s where I’m at.
Water is life, and Upcountry’s supply is under real strain. Climate projections point to less rainfall in the years ahead, and our aging infrastructure is expensive to maintain and losing water we can’t afford to lose. Our community has already identified solutions. We need the State to help get them done.

Read more →Support our teachers, provide professional salaries and benefits, attract our best and brightest to the teaching profession, and connect school to real careers here at home. I want an education system grounded in Hawaiʻi that educates toward the future, opens critically thinking minds, and instills in every student a sense of kuleana to our shared betterment.

Families with insurance still face high deductibles and the cost of traveling off-island for care. And too many people sit in our jails because they’re poor, or struggling with addiction or mental illness. We can do better on both.
Read more →Care for the land and water that sustain us, and make sure the people closest to a place have a say in its future. Our Green Fee funds should focus on hazard mitigation, infrastructure resilience, and environmental stewardship, with allocation decisions guided by clear standards.
